* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
Eastern Will County in northeastern Illinois...
Eastern Kankakee County in northeastern Illinois...
Northern Newton County in northwestern Indiana...
Southern Lake County in northwestern Indiana...

* Until 800 PM CDT.

* At 644 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Momence,
moving east at 30 mph.

THIS IS A DESTRUCTIVE STORM FOR AREAS ON AND NEAR THE KANKAKEE
RIVER.

HAZARD...Three inch hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Trained weather spotters.

IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be severely injured.
Expect shattered windows, extensive damage to roofs,
siding, and vehicles.

* Locations impacted include...
Crown Point, Cedar Lake, Lowell, Momence, Lake Village, Lakes of
the Four Seasons, Winfield, Roselawn, Lake Dalecarlia, Grant Park,
Hopkins Park, Shelby, Schneider, Thayer, and Sumava Resorts.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Prepare immediately for large hail and deadly cloud to ground
lightning. Seek shelter inside a well-built structure. Stay away from
windows.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for northeastern
and east central Illinois...and northwestern Indiana.

Thunderstorms until early morning. Showers. A chance of thunderstorms late. Patchy fog in the late evening and overnight. Some thunderstorms may produce heavy rainfall until early morning. Lows in the mid 40s. South winds 10 to 15 mph, becoming west after midnight. Chance of precipitation near 100 percent.

Cloudy. Patchy fog early in the morning. A slight chance of thunderstorms early in the morning. Showers in the morning, then a chance of showers early in the afternoon. Breezy with highs in the upper 40s inland, but only in the lower 40s near the lake. Temperature falling into the upper 30s in the afternoon. Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph, increasing to 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation 90 percent.
