* At 846 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Malta to near Somonauk to near Sheridan to near
Streator, moving northeast at 50 mph.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts.

IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to
mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
This is a DANGEROUS SITUATION. These storms are producing damaging
winds with a potential for embedded tornadoes. SEEK SHELTER NOW
inside a sturdy structure and stay away from windows! A Tornado
Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for central and
northeastern Illinois.
