The National Weather Service in Flagstaff has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
Gila County in east central Arizona...
Coconino County in north central Arizona...

* Until 930 AM MST.

* At 911 AM MST, a severe thunderstorm was located near Clints Well,
or 17 miles north of Payson, moving northeast at 55 mph.

HAZARD...Quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Damage to vehicles is expected.

* Locations impacted include...
Pine, Beaver Valley Estates, Ellison Creek Cascades, Whispering
Pines, Washington Park, Geronimo Estates, Wonder Valley, Clints
Well, Starlight Pines, Freedom Acres, Flowing Springs, Water Wheel
Falls, Potato Lake, Blue Ridge Reservoir, Baker Butte Lookout and
West Clear Creek Wilderness.

This includes State Route 87 near mile marker 260...and between mile
markers 263 and 266...and between mile markers 279 and 308.

This includes the following recreation areas and campgrounds...
Geronimo Boy Scout Camp, Rock Crossing Campground, Clints Well
Campground, Blue Ridge Campground, Kehl Springs Campground and Shadow
Rim Ranch.

This includes the following swimming holes...
Water Wheel Falls and Ellison Creek Cascades.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing large hail.

Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Seek shelter
