* At 359 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Genoa Bluff to near Parnell to near South
English, moving northeast at 40 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.

Cedar Rapids, Iowa City, Marengo, Sigourney, Marion, Coralville,
North Liberty, Williamsburg, Fairfax, Solon, Tiffin, Ely, Walford,
University Heights, North English, Victor, Swisher, Oxford, Hills,
and Shueyville.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 80 in Iowa between mile markers 205 and 251.
Interstate 380 between mile markers 1 and 23.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
sturdy building.
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 800 PM CDT for southeastern
and east central Iowa.
