The 5-day forecasts are updated twice a day (early morning, and around noon) and are at 12 hour intervals, with valid times around 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. The 12-hourly interval forecast fields include: (1) Surface Pressure & Precipitation Amounts (seen above); (2) Near-Surface (1000 mb) Temperature & Wind; (3) 850 mb Temperatures, which provides a good measure of the air mass temperature; (4) 850 to 500 mb Relative Humidity, which shows areas of disturbed weather (high humidity); and (5) 300 mb Winds, which gives winds at the jet stream level.
